Obama reaches out to liberal groups to shore up Democratic base after tax deal

**Opinion**

How is the tax deal for the rich a major victory for African Americans!?!? How many African Americans are considered to be in the top 2% of wealth in the U.S.?! Actions speaks louder than words, President Obama. Words got you elected; actions will get you re-elected. Why would the Democrats who are in power, have to heal relations within their own party. I sure don't recall the Bush Administration having many similar issues, besides maybe at the end or after Bush vacated office. The next compromise could possibly be with the Republicans on a cut for Social Security. Hmm, why not just give them everything that they want! The Bush Administration sure didn't care about what the Democrats thought of them and they trampled through 8 years of their objectives with many completed without so much of an eye brow raise by many in the media, politics, and public. By the way, that phrase (used above) is not used often enough (President Obama). In my opinion, the media and the public don't give Obama nearly the amount of respect that they gave to Bush. For some odd reasons, I'm sure I could think of, but why even post when I imagine the readers are comprehending. Lastly, Pres. Obama, you certainly aren't a Bush, however, more and more it appears as if you are just carrying on a numbed/dumbed-down version of the Bush Administration... Opinions are welcomed in the comment box below, if it's actually working, lol. If not, you can always reach me via Twitter or e-mail. Thank you.

P.S. Either way, Pres. Obama is ahead of Bush in approval ratings and seemingly will stay this way until 2012 or longer. Most of his support base are still sucking up the fumes from the election I guess...I suppose they figure that the Liberals are easier to push over than the Republicans.
