**Opinion**

In reply to Ms. Baker's (writer, a Republican, is an FCC commissioner) post, "Hands off tomorrow's Internet", and question, "Why does the FCC plan to intervene in a rushed manner, days before the year's end, in the one sector of the economy that is working so well to create consumer choice, jobs and entrepreneurial opportunity?"

The FCC plans to intervene in a rushed manner because rushing is always better politically for issues that may gain public disapproval. It is being done days before the year's end since that is an ideal time to do it around the holidays when many peoples' attention is focused upon other things besides the media. The government currently has its hands involved with many different aspects of the economy that aren't doing as well as the internet, therefore, why not get involved with the one sector of the economy that is working well in regards to jobs, consumer choice, and entrepreneurial opportunity.

Not that I agree with their involvement. Thanks for the read.
