Comcast to cut 145 jobs in Largo office

Comcast Corp. plans to lay off 145 employees in Largo in September, the cable giant told the state’s labor department Friday.

Comcast will eliminate the care account executive positions at the company’s office at 1301 McCormick Drive in Prince George’s County. The layoffs are part of an effort to combine the company’s Largo customer care operations with Comcast call centers in Silver Spring and White Marsh, said Aimee N. Metrick, a spokeswoman for the company.
