San Diego County brush fire grows to 1,650 acres

Called the Chihuahua fire, the blaze was about 10% contained as of midday, officials said.

Several hundred firefighters are trying to contain the fire in 99-degree weather with wind gusts up to 17 mph, Cal Fire said.

No structures have been reported damaged, but homeowners in an area outside Warner Springs have been ordered to evacuate.
