Delegates at the Republican National Convention are being serenaded with the song “Signed, Sealed, Delivered,” a Stevie Wonder hit song from 1970.
They are swaying and signing along as the convention’s evening session gets underway.
But they might be a bit aghast if they realized that the song also has another provenance: It was the theme song for Barack Obama’s 2008 campaign.
Mr. Obama’s team played the song all the time on the trail, with Mr. Obama jogging out to a screaming crowd as the music crested.
And then, Mr. Wonder performed the song live — and in person — at, of all places, the 2008 Democratic National Convention.
Maybe Washington politicians can agree on something after all.
