Supporters of a measure that would increase San Jose’s hourly minimum wage from $8 to $10 say they are submitting more than 30,000 signatures to the San Jose City Clerk’s office Thursday in an effort to have the initiative placed on the November ballot.

They must meet a minimum threshold of 19,200 signatures, said Dr. Scott Myers-Lipton, a professor at San Jose State University.
