Some 16,000 young Americans who volunteered to serve in Iraq and Afghanistan have come home with devastating wounds. A lot of them want you to ask about them.
**Opinion**
It's such a shame the way this country treats those that have served in the military. Many times, veterans are left with next to nothing upon return. Employment is few and far between. Services that help address issues such as: counseling, drug and alcohol abuse, adequate housing, medical services, and food assistance are limited and often times further reduced. Is this anyway to support the people who stand up and fight for this country while many times risking their own well being!? I think not. Then they wonder why they have difficulties with recruitment...
