Hi all!
Last week, the Tar Sands Action organizers and over 150 folks from the Bay Area paid a visit to the Obama for America office. We came w/ signs, stories, and excitement. We were met with a locked office due to an unexpected out of town meeting for all Obama for America staff. What makes our group of activists so special is we decided to move forward anyway and show Obama and his staff that we are going to show up rain or shine, open or closed, until this pipeline is denied.
This week on Thursday, October 13th, at 4:15pm we’ll be returning to the OFA office in Oakland. This time, we’re sure that the office will be open and there will be an organizer waiting to hear our stories about how we supported the President and want to continue to push him to do the right thing about Keystone XL.
We will be meeting at Snow Park (just a few blocks from the OFA office) on Harrison between 19th and 20th streets in Oakland. We’ll have a quick round up again (just like last week), and head over to the office and have a chat with the staffer.
