A Friday afternoon protest outside a Bank of America branch in San Leandro put the union label on the anti-corporate movement popularized by the Occupy Wall Street demonstrations.

"They've taken $35 an hour jobs and replaced them with $10 an hour jobs and people just don't have the purchasing power," Prola said.

Friday's protest at BofA is part of the same coalition that has called the Jobs Not Cuts rally scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at Laney College in Oakland.

Meanwhile, rallies under the Occupy banner have been held outside Chevron headquarters in San Ramon and in downtown Walnut Creek as well as San Francisco, Oakland and Berkeley.
