The U.S. Supreme Court late Wednesday rejected a request to block the execution of convicted killer Troy Davis, who convinced thousands but not the justice system of his innocence in the murder of an off-duty police officer.
The decision was delivered with no comment from the court more than three hours after the 7 p.m. ET scheduled execution.
