**Opinion**
While Google may have its strong points, I am concerned about the information that they keep on their users. Information is key. Therefore, why should a company be allowed to store your searching information in their databases. My concern is for now, but even more so for the future. Google won't be in business forever. So, eventually what will occur is that Google will be sold to another company. From there, where does that leave your personal information at?! Google may have one set of policies for how they handle their users information, while another company, may have a completely different set. The problem is that the data could possibly transfer along with the new acquisition. Up until about mid-point of this year, Google remained mum the word on the amount of inquiries that it receives from governments worldwide into searches and information of individuals. Google is also asked to remove content from its' services. To be fair, many other technology and communications companies receive the same requests. However, not many other companies are considered as such a market dominant. Well, of course the U.S. leads the way in the inquires and the data can be found at a website that Google provides @ http://www.google.com/transparencyreport/governmentrequests/. Have fun, educate yourself, and comment below on the post below. Thank you.
