Jennifer Hudson crooned 'Happy Birthday' to the president on the eve of his big day

At the corner of Lawrence Avenue and Broadway Street in Chicago, a number of immigrant families planed to protest Obama's "record deportations" at the same time the president's event was taking place.

"When I said, 'Change you can believe in,' I didn't mean, change you can believe in tomorrow, or next week," he said.

"We're not even halfway there yet," Obama said. "We knew this was going to take time, because we've got this big, messy tough democracy."

**Opinion**

Oh, really!? How convenient. How long then? A decade, two, maybe more?! Oh no, of course not, must just be another term, right?! And how could I forget about our tough messy democracy. LOL.

Mr. President, much of what you said prior to being elected has not been executed. In fact, much of what you said, has been false and in some cases, you've done the opposite. To people with their eyes open, one would think, that you aren't being regarded as well as you once were.

"We're in for a long battle," he said.

Sounds like what we heard prior to the election. Recycling, anyone?
