As part of the savings to trim the deficits, Congress would scrap a special kind of federal loan for graduate students. So-called subsidized student loans don't charge students any interest on the principal of student loans until six months after students graduated.
**Opinion**
Many Republicans and Conservatives don't like to see people attend college and obtain an education. This threatens them. Instead, their actions depict a further want for oppression over the masses. It's similar to many of the other things they suppress.
Voters must elect people that can actually understand and relate with their needs and wants. If they don't represent your interests, then you need to hold them accountable. As a voter, don't depend on your affiliated party to represent your best interests. Be knowledgeable on candidates and make educated votes! Usually, politicians desire to be re-elected. If you aren't satisfied with what is being produced out of your representatives, inform them and if necessary, discontinue your support for them while researching or encouraging (a) better candidate(s)!
Oh, and let's get people into office that will actually hold true on their campaign promises, like a real reform to the markets and the electoral process.
