**Opinion**

Well written. I couldn't agree more about the state of California's public education. The spelling errors in CA that I've seen are puzzling (we're talking relatively simple words being misspelled and many more errors than I'd like to see within the media). Lastly, I often wonder why there isn't more enrollment in higher education throughout the state.
