Violent crime is worse in Oakland than in any other California city, according to statistics released this week by the FBI.
Oakland had more than 15.3 violent crimes per thousand population in 2010. No other city with 1,000 or more residents had above 15.
The San Francisco Business Times complied all those stats into a single list ranking all the cities in California based on their rates of violent crime per capita in 2010.
