You get a vote on whether to accept Facebook's revised policies, thanks to the efforts of a European activist.
Max Schrems, an Austrian law student, managed to trigger a vote, capitalizing on Facebook's own stated policy by drumming up comments on the policy.
The policy states: "We will give you seven (7) days to provide us with comments on the change. If we receive more than 7,000 comments concerning a particular change, we will put the change up for a vote. The vote will be binding on us if more than 30% of all active registered users as of the date of the notice vote."
Well, Schrems said on site Europe versus Facebook that comments came from 40,000 users -- well over the stated threshold.
So you've got a week to register your vote. To vote, you click here: https://www.facebook.com/fbsitegovernance/app_130362963766777
